In this clip from a recent interview on “I Have A Testimony” hosted by Student Minister Willie Muhammad, master artist Carey Muhammad talks about being commissioned by The Nation Of Islam and The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan to produce three paintings. He also shares aspects of a private phone call he and his wife, Jantrez Muhammad, received from Minister Farrakhan along with the experience of presenting him with one of the paintings at the National House in Chicago.

“I have been painting commissioned portraits for many years and have painted some great people, some known, and some unknown to the general public. All of the subjects I have painted have impacted me in some way but none of them have touched my life like the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. On January 13, 2021 my wife and I were blessed to be in his presence and to present to him a third 44×48 inch painting. I am honored to have my work installed in the National House of the Nation Of Islam. Thank you Brother Abdul Rasul Muhammad for making this process possible and thank you to the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam for your love and support. All praise is due to Allah,” stated Carey Muhammad in a Facebook post on January 14, 2021
